How buying a gun in St. George works
Pick an FFL dealer near you that accepts shipped transfers and name it at checkout. We confirm their license and ship the firearm to them. Ammunition, optics and parts ship straight to your door where Utah law allows.
Utah has no purchase permit, registration or waiting period. A dealer sale uses ATF Form 4473, and the background check runs through the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. Federal ages apply: 18 for rifles and 21 for revolvers. Holders of a Utah concealed firearm permit can usually skip the separate check. The firearm ships to the Utah dealer you choose, who runs the check and completes the transfer.
