This is a rifle for the deer hunter who likes a dark, low glare look. Rossi's R95 Triple Black is chambered in .30-30 Winchester with a 5+1 capacity, and everything is black, from the metal to the stock. It is a lever action with a modern feel.

The R95 follows the style of the old Winchester 1895 in having a box magazine action, though the cartridge here is the standard .30-30. The black finish resists glare in the woods and hides small scratches. That makes it a good stand rifle or truck gun.

A .30-30 has taken deer for over a century, and it still does the job. Recoil is mild and ammunition is available everywhere. Shots inside a hundred yards are the sweet spot for this round.

Take it out and sight it in at fifty and a hundred yards. Learn the drop and the limits, and you will have a reliable partner for the season.

The price is in the middle range for a lever rifle. The listing is new. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
