Twelve rounds in a single-action revolver sounds odd until you see the layout.

The long barrel is the cavalry length, and in .22 LR it gives a very steady sight picture. With little recoil and cheap ammunition, this is a gun for patient practice. Case hardened color on the frame lends an old-time look that most blued guns cannot match, and walnut feels warm in the hand. Spend an afternoon at the range with it before you count on it, so you know how it handles and where it shoots.

Uberti is a well-regarded maker of Western replicas. The Cattleman is their Peacemaker pattern, and this rimfire version lets you practice cowboy-action routines on the cheap. It is also a fine plinking gun for casual afternoons on the range.

Because the barrel is long, it is front-heavy compared with a short revolver. That helps hold steady and tames muzzle flip. It is a gun for shooters who like to look at their revolver as much as shoot it. It ships to your FFL dealer, and you complete the background check at pickup.
