El Patron is the name Uberti gives to this Cattleman, a single-action revolver with a 4.7-inch barrel, a six-round cylinder, and a case-hardened frame. It is a factory blem, which means the maker flagged a cosmetic flaw and the price is lower for it.

Ask your dealer to look it over with you at pickup so you know what the blemish is. Blems usually involve a small finish issue that does not affect how the revolver works, and many buyers take that trade for savings. The New Model designation refers to the modern-production Cattleman mechanism, with its smooth hammer and tight lockup.

Cowboy action shooters and ranch hands will find the 4.7-inch length convenient, giving good balance, easy carry, and a clear sight picture.

Treat the case colors gently and keep them dry. Wipe the steel after use and put a light film of oil on the working parts. Load through the gate and carry with the hammer on an empty chamber. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
