Limited editions give a plain rimfire some character. This Ruger Wrangler 2016 Edition is a single action chambered in .22 LR, with a 3.75 inch barrel, six rounds and a silver Cerakote finish. The cylinder is black and the grip is a black polymer birdshead.

Ruger says the Wrangler series is for recreational use and pest control. The aluminum alloy construction cuts weight without cutting durability, and the weight is listed at 1.75 pounds. The single action trigger is easy to learn.

The silver and black look is eye catching. The birdshead grip makes it compact. It rides easily on a belt or in a pack, and it costs little to feed.

For a person who wants a nice small revolver for plinking, camping and teaching, this one is hard to beat at the price, which is under two hundred dollars. The special finish helps it stand out on the rack.

Cerakote holds up to wear, so you can carry it without worrying much about holster marks.

The listing is new. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
