Engraved, hand finished single actions are a different thing from basic revolvers. The Pietta Alchimista Jr is chambered in .357 Magnum with a 3.5 inch barrel and six rounds.

A short barrel makes the revolver quick and light. The engraving and finish give it the look of a revolver that has seen a hundred years of ranch work, even though it is new. Checkered grips help hold the gun when your hands are damp or cold.

This revolver suits a collector or a cowboy action shooter who wants a showpiece. You can shoot .38 Special for practice, which is gentle and cheap, and .357 Magnum when you want something stronger.

Engraved finishes need care. Wipe the gun clean after use and avoid harsh solvents that may harm the surface. Keep it in a soft case. Spend a day at the range learning how it shoots with different loads, and write down which ones group best.

The price is on the higher side, which is normal for a finish like this. The listing is new. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
