Patriotic grips make a plain rimfire into something that gets noticed at the range. This Rough Rider carries 1776 Freedom grips on a blued .22 LR with a 6 inch barrel and six rounds in the cylinder. The six inch barrel is a middle length that suits most hands.

You get an easy shooting single action that costs little to feed. A fresh shooter can learn the basics of cocking, aiming and pressing the trigger without a heavy recoil or loud noise getting in the way. That makes this a good teaching revolver at a ranch or camp.

Rough Rider revolvers have become common because they are cheap and tough enough for casual use. They are not match guns, and nobody claims they are. They are for fun, for plinking and for small pests.

Blued steel looks sharp, but wipe it down after damp days. A little oil keeps rust away.

If the grips are the reason you are looking, check the photos to see the design and make sure it fits your taste. The listing is new at a low price. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
