Bisley target grips came out of England's Bisley shooting matches, and the shape has stayed popular with single action fans for a century. Cimarron's CA614 puts that grip on a six shot, single action revolver in .45 Long Colt with a 7.5 inch barrel. The frame is case hardened and the grips are walnut.

The long barrel adds sight radius and steadiness. The Bisley hammer sits low and the grip tilts so recoil rolls the gun back into your hand rather than up. It makes a calm revolver for deliberate shooting at the range or in a match.

A shooter who wants one revolver for paper, steel and a little hunting could do worse. Mild .45 Long Colt loads are easy on the hand, while hotter loads let you stretch the range. Always follow the maker's ammunition guidance for this revolver.

Walnut grips and a color case frame make a good looking pair. Wipe the gun down after each outing and the finish will last.
