One round, but a big one. The Bond Arms Cyclops Thumper is a single barrel derringer style pistol chambered in .50 AE, with a 4.25 inch barrel and extended B6 grips. The finish is called Rough and Tumble, a textured look that hides wear.

A one shot handgun is a different animal from a revolver or an autoloader. It's slow to reload, so you make the first shot count. The .50 Action Express is a heavy hitter, and you'll feel it. Extended grips help you hold it and soak up recoil.

Hunters have used big bore single shot pistols for close range work on deer and hogs. If you plan to do the same, practice at the range first and learn how the gun shoots.

It is not a pistol for a beginner or for casual plinking, since ammunition is costly and recoil is heavy. For a person who wants a strong, compact novelty with real power, it makes sense.

Ask about the ammunition you can find in .50 AE before buying. The listing is new. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
