Big lever loops were made for gloved hands and for the showman who spins a rifle. The Winchester 1892 Large Loop carries a 20 inch barrel and is chambered in .44-40 Winchester, a classic frontier cartridge. It is a slick-cycling lever gun that feels like a piece of history.

The 1892 is a smaller, lighter cousin of the 1886 and 1873, and it handles well in tight brush. A 20 inch barrel gives you balance and enough velocity for deer at modest ranges. .44-40 is a good cowboy action round and it is easy to find loaded.

The large loop makes it quick to work and fun to show off. It also suits shooters with bigger hands or those who wear gloves in cold weather. Use it for matches, for plinking at steel or for a short hunt in thick cover.

Run it through a few boxes of factory ammunition before you trust it on a hunt, and note which loads feed and shoot best. The listing shows the rifle as new. It ships to your FFL dealer where the background check is completed before you take it home.
