A lever action shotgun is a curious thing, and it fits a lot of jobs around a farm. The Rock Island Field is chambered in .410 bore with a five round magazine, wrapped in Turkish walnut and black finish. The recoil of a .410 is light, so it suits younger hunters and anyone who does not enjoy a heavy kick.

Think about the barn, the garden and the chicken coop. A .410 loaded with the right shot handles snakes, rats and small pests at close range. It also works for squirrel and rabbit season. Lever guns run smoothly and you can top off the tube without taking your eyes off the target.

Walnut gives it warmth, and the black metal keeps a modern look. Patterning matters with any shotgun, so shoot a few loads on paper at the distances you expect to use. A .410 has a small payload, so choose your shots with care.

The listing shows new and the price is on the premium side for a .410. It ships to your FFL dealer where the background check is done.
