Buffalo Hunt engraving decorates the Rancher, Heritage's long-barreled take on the Rough Rider. With a 16.1-inch barrel and a shoulder stock, this .22 LR revolver rifle holds six rounds and carries a scene that looks right at home on a den wall.

The long barrel and stock give a steadier hold than any handgun. A new shooter can settle the sights and place shots on paper at distances that would frustrate a short-barrel revolver. The .22 Long Rifle keeps recoil near zero and ammunition cheap.

Shooters who enjoy cowboy gear will like how it handles. You cock the hammer for each shot and load through the gate, just as with the pistol version. Ranch hands may keep one in the truck for small pests at close range.

Rules for stocked, long-barrel revolvers vary, so check your state and local law before ordering. Wipe the engraved finish after use and keep a light film of oil on the steel. The Rancher ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
