A side loading gate makes the Henry Big Boy handy at a cowboy action match. It is a lever rifle chambered in .357 Magnum, with a 20 inch barrel, a 10 round tube, a blued finish, and a walnut stock.

With .38 Special loads, the rifle is pleasant and fast on steel. With full .357 Magnum loads, it takes hogs, coyotes, and deer at close range. Because it shares ammunition with many revolvers, one box serves the whole kit.

A 20 inch barrel balances well and gives a good sight radius. The gate lets you top off the tube between stages. It is a dependable, handsome rifle for the pickup.
