Big Boy is Henry's way of scaling the beloved .22 lever gun up to a real hunting caliber. This Classic version is chambered in .44 Magnum, holds ten rounds in the tube, and sports a 20-inch barrel.

Whitetail hunters who hunt thick cover like the combination. A .44 Magnum rifle gives a lot more velocity than a revolver, and the lever action lets you follow up fast. The 20-inch barrel balances well, comes up quickly, and does not catch on brush when you walk into a creek bottom. Ten rounds mean you rarely need to reload, which is a perk at a cowboy match.

You can also feed it .44 Special for light practice and a quiet shoulder, then step up to magnum loads when it is time to hunt. A matching revolver in the same caliber makes a neat pair.

Take care of the finish with a wipe-down after wet days, and check the sights and screws from time to time. The rifle ships to your FFL dealer, where the background check is completed before pickup.
