Walk into any old farm shop and you will see a BL-22 on the rack. It is one of the best known rimfire lever guns, with a short throw lever and a clean, slim profile. This one is chambered in .22 LR with a 20 inch barrel, a fifteen round tube and a walnut stock.

The short lever travel lets you cycle fast without moving your shoulder. Fifteen rounds is enough for a whole squirrel hunt. The barrel is long enough to give a good sight picture and enough velocity for small game.

Kids learn on rifles like this. The weight is low, the recoil is nothing and the action is fun to run. Adults enjoy it at the range, too, because the BL-22 has a crisp trigger and a reputation for reliability.

Walnut makes it handsome, and it ages gracefully. The rifle should last through generations if you keep it clean and dry. Many buyers hand them down.

The listing says new. The price is a bit above a basic rimfire, which reflects Browning quality. It ships to your FFL dealer for the background check.
